Sunday

The Sunday before the last Sunday, I was getting bored and feeling guilty  for being indoors on a day of glorious sunshine. After I had put some shine on my office shoes and ironed the cloths for a week of tidy and smart looks; I called a taxi for the train station. I took the first train out of town towards the South. Bad luck it seemed was hovering just outside the small town, no sooner I crossed the familiar roads, bridges and houses; it started raining. I could hear a lot of curses aimed at the weather gods; I just wished by the time I get off, the sun comes out. There was a couple sitting diagonally opposite. They were carrying an infant, probably a baby boy. There was a genuine good feeling inside me seeing them. People passing by them would bless the baby and share a smile. The couple too looked very happy and it seemed from their talks they were taking the baby to some relative's place for the first time. I was thinking of the delicious food one can re...

The Law of the Garbage Truck

I am going to post here a story that was a part of the farewell speech that my younger sister's school principal gave today at her Citation Ceremony. I would normally not take notice of the usual inspirational and motivational things that the school principals and teachers say, heck, they are all almost the same. Being 7 years younger to me, I had an opportunity to relive my school life all over again during her years in school. So today when her Principal bade their batch farewell and bestowed them with love, affecti...

Please don't stop the music!

I have been thinking about writing this article for a real long-time & finally yesterday I finally mustered up the courage to start it.What jettisoned me to write this article is that lately,I have been having a series of dreams about music. In one of these dreams,I was asking Dion whether he has heard of a band called 'The shadows'. Someday s back,I met Shankar Madhavan (of course, in my dreams again) & in one more, I watching the video of "Walking in Memphis" but strangely in this "dream video" instead of Cher there was a very old man.In an another dream ,I was chatting with Aamir Khan while walking down the road & was asked by him to compose the music for his next film.Wow!! Isn't that great ?Probably that's the best thing about dreams -Anything is possible.Ok! Now let me Jet Set Go! Since music happens to be a passion for me or rather a religion for me,I have been constantly exploring it and during this exploration process which start...
