The Wall Mag - Online edition

Privacy and secrecy, all are a part of ones existence. We all have our own space, our own things, eccentricities which we don't like to share with the world! But, please people, this is a public forum, basically a place for NIT Jamshedpur's Wall Mag to hang out (and yes, a lawyer too). You have all known each other through college. Outside college also we meet up, we interact and we have fun together. Then, why veil yourself?? I am honestly pretty tired of 'Anonymous' comments on our blog. It is no fun, especially when one of 'US' ends up posting as an anonymous identity! We are not here to judge people by what they say. The most that we can do is pull the other persons' leg and joke out of it.. *And I am hoping that I am echoing everyone's feelings!* So, I propose that we disable 'Anonymous' commenting on the blog. You are welcome oppose this motion, and I suggest that we have a decision taken on this issue!! Thanks!

I am going to post here a story that was a part of the farewell speech that my younger sister's school principal gave today at her Citation Ceremony. I would normally not take notice of the usual inspirational and motivational things that the school principals and teachers say, heck, they are all almost the same. As a matter of fact, I remember the day we had something similar in Modern Bk, but I don't think that it really meant too much to me and I don't remember a single thing of the speech that the dear principal had given. *Yeah, I was not interested coz I was not attached to the school, I was there for the last two years and that is one of my major regrets- Changing my school* Any way- I am very attached to Sister's school and the way her schooling has gone. Being 7 years younger to me, I had an opportunity to relive my school life all over again during her years in school. And that be it cold, or foggy or whatever- Almost the entire country is wide awake when the ' Chabees Janwary' parade is aired. I think this is one of the very few days that Doordarshan, has TRPs!!! The reason is simple- The entire world waits for this parade- Because this parade is the 'Show of Strength' to the other nations. It is an exercise of propaganda for country.. yeah we are very humble people, but it is ok to show off sometimes. 61st Year of being a Republic, was also marked by the auspicious release of the Newest, and the most talked about Phir Mile Sur Mera Tumhara ... on Youtube, it has been posted as a reply to the Old Video of Mile Sur Mera Tumhara. And boy oh boy- Has it created some ripples on the blogosphere and on twitte...

It is the one year anniversary of 26/11, a day when the financial capital of India was held hostage to terrorists... not for one, but for almost 4 days. The ONLY days in the violent history of Mumbai where, the city came to a complete standstill... and when the entire nation was glued to their television sets... seeing a reality unfold in front of their eyes- which was no less than a movie. There were candle marches then, there are candle marches that are going to mark the memories of those dreadful days on its first anniversary. But, we still refuse, refuse to take action- SOLID action. Everyday without fail there is one blast... or new terror infiltration.... and not from our unworthy neighbours but also from within our own country. Its a shame that we have become immune to violence, that it doesn't matter to us anymore.. or does it? If it does- then we should just stand up and say ENOUGH to blood and guts... ENOUGH to losing of so many innocent lives at the hands of petty pol...
