Happy birthday, Shayon..!!!

The Cake Before your day ends- Here is wishing you a very Happy Birthday from all us at TWM. Yeah- I know its a formal formal and all that, I can't help it. Because, unless and until you all want to read a mushy mushy post that talks about how much I love Shayon.. it will be this formal. Anyway- I really wanna thank all of you who sent in their messages and pictures.. because it was worth all the effort. Extreme left of the Collage Rest of the collage. I wish I could have captured the look on his face when he was going through the collage- it was a like a child who had just discovered unlimited source of chocolates. In a way he is a kid, who needs all the push and the pull... to get him to do anything. But- we all know, how much this kiddo loves to face the odds right in the face and say- I don't give a damn. Here is wishing you and your killer attitude, your passion for DOTA... sense of humour and the HUGE reservoir of love and affection that you have for all your friends.. al...

And The Warrior Returns...

Whoa! They call me a professional blogger and I haven't been able to write a single word for any of my personal blogs, be it TWM :: Online , Shayon's Labyrinth or even Timeless Imagination . I guess, that's what happens when all you do, during the day, is blog and then when you come back home, WarCraft is the only reason that inspires you to open up your laptop's lid and hit the power button!   I wouldn't really say that I am stressed out, thanks to my new job as the Chief Editor of WATBlog , one of country's leading advertising and technology blogs. After all, how many have gotten the opportunity and luck (this is something very rare in my destiny) to convert their hobby, their love, into a profession? The down side is, WAT is a startup, in essence. It just turned 2 , the month I joined, and we have an employee strength of just 12. Yes, you read that right. So, we realize that there is a lot of potential in the market and since our niche is very nascent, it ...

What Should One Do After Graduation?

Okay, this post is not really to lecture you folks about your career goals and paths. It's just that I happen to come across a few pretty noteworthy articles that spurred in me an urge to share my journey of thought processes right since the time I was old enough to decide on a career track for myself. Back to 2001, while I was preparing for my 10th grade board exams. Since I was supposed to decide what stream to take up, I thought I'd be a chef later in my life. I was always enthusiastic about culinary concoctions and loved to eat myself. Hence, commerce seemed to be the stream to go. However, I was already, kinda, a comp whiz. Moreover, almost everyone from my family took the path of Computer Science and the market was also pretty favourable. So, my dad said I could always take up Science then and later take up being a chef, if I wanted to. Alas, by the time I completed my Higher Secondary, he already managed to condition me to get into engineering and hence...

Heil To All

Finally all the papers done. They were originally scheduled to get over by the 7th of this month. Hence, me and Souvik (I used to drive this guy's Activa) had planned to make a li'l trip to Delhi together since both of us happen to have our love interests stationed there ;-). Anyways, thanks to a certain Mr. A. K. Singh, we had to wait till yesterday for our project presentation. However, now that I'd already gotten into the mindset of visiting Delhi this December, despite Souvik backing out at the last moment, here I am, waiting in anticipation for tomorrow early morning's Purushottam Express. Unfortunately, because of some unfortunate developments, even this time I won't be out there for more than 4 days. Yet, really really wish I would be able to meet up with Gandhi, Mannu, Chiru, Debu et al. Kapil was in town for last 2 days. Happened to meet him up only at the last moment while he was leaving, at around 12 noon. I had my presentation from 3pm, yet agreed to h...
