Here are a few pictures from the meetup. For more pictures, do check out my FB profile. Shall also upload them soon on Flickr.

Making the Christmas more than merry!

So, it is Christmas and we are all getting ready to bid adieu to the year 2011!  I am sure that a lot of us went through loads of ups and downs, and that we would be looking back at certain fond memories of the year gone by and at the same time, we will be wanting to start the New Year *The last year according to Nostradamus or some one or the other* before the world ends. And, thank heavens that I got to meet loads of TWM members before the world is kicked into the chaos gear. So making the Christmas Merry, this year, we had with us, in saddi dilli, Dion, Raj & Shayon *Shayon's moved back to Mumbai* and there were us- Mannu, Gandhi, Debu and myself! We missed the rest of you! And, it would have been one hell of a party had all of you been here!  So from the lunches to the dinners and to the absolutely random trip to dumdama lake and then Jim Corbett national park, the guys had loads of fun *I am hoping that my assumptions are right*. I of course, being the Cinderel...

An odē to the Capital

So, I am gonna move back to Mumbai real soon. Somewhere around the first 2 weeks of August. Life seems to have come a full circle for me. I started off my career with Mumbai. And now with a stable enough career, I am gonna be back to where I belonged. Life in Delhi was fun. When I was first planning to move to Delhi, there have been a lot many apprehensions from the quarters of friends and family. Frankly, none in my friend circle was too impressed by what they had called the "Delhi culture". And I don't blame them either. When I landed in the city for the first time (barring the occasional 2-day visits I used to make during college days, to meet with Sakshi), life wasn't really too great. I had gotten tired of having almost everyone and everybody around me trying to fleece me at every opportunity they would get. And of course the way the Delhiites speak (in general, especially on the roads) is super rough. I wasn't exposed to that kind of a behavior. However, ...

And I Move Again!

For the first time ever, I move back to the same city where I had been before. Is India running out of decent work places, now? Yes, you guessed it right. I have resigned from my current employment capacity at Pronto Networks; and now it's time to move back to Delhi, and join LiveMint.com. What more? I have been offered a fancy designation out there: Lead - Special Projects and Social Media . For those who are wondering, this is gonna be my 4th employer, in my working span of 2 years and 2 months. Yeah, life's exciting. More so about the fact that my next employer is gonna be the Wall Street Journal ! Ohkay, not exactly WSJ, but one of their sister publications, the Mint newspaper. Well, there ain't much more from my side. But then, it's interesting to figure where life's taking me, every single year, every single moment!
