India is coming to a standstill today!

The whole country seems to be going crazy about the India-Pakistan match today. I can't remember any other match in the (long)span of 25 years I have been on this earth that any other match generated this much frenzy. The who's who of political and business world and many from the film industry are going to be at the match in Mohali.Almost the whole Times of India has only cricket news covering every aspect-on field, off field, political, economical, godwill gestures, fights for tickets- of this match and so is the case with other newspapers, websites, TV,radio and what not! Around 100 crores people are expected to watch this match worldwide-that means almost 1/6 of the world population will either be glued to their television sets or watching the match online.
Let's see who wins this "mother of all games". With the kind of batting line up India has, India seems to be the choice of bookies ,but you can't underestimate Pakistan. A TOI survey shows that 60% of corporate India is on leave today. It was just another excuse for me to take an off from office and chill at home.I will be watching a cricket match after around 8 years.
You're all welcome for post match discussions here! Till then, enjoy!

India has made it to the finals. The fireworks outside make it seem as though it is Diwali here. Shows how badly people wanted India to win!I was just imagining the severe criticism Pakistani players are going to get back in Pakistan for this loss. But anyway, someone or the other had to win and am glad that India won!
Cheers,guys!

Cheers!! to team India..

Today as I was coming home from office , I came across a place where a huge screen was put up at the side of the road and people sitting on street watching the match.... Really this match has made people crazy ..
Amazing game! I watched it here on the internet. My roommate woke me up early in the morning for the start and what a start (Shewag tearing Gol up!)!
Haha haha ha, what a game! I remember watching the 1996 Quarters too (Siddhu, Azar, Venkatesh and Jadeja)- but at home, but I'm not sure if there was this much attention all over the country.
On to the finals!

I was in office and whenever I looked for the scores in cricinfo, India would be in a spot of bother..so I left following in the hope of our eventual win..

When the finals spot was confirmed, I watched the highlights and indeed the billion prayers were heard..

Now, waiting impatiently for Saturday..

Let's break the spell of inactivity....HOW?? WHAT SHOULD I WRITE ABOUT?? I have an incomplete draft, shall I post that? May be I will do a recap of the past few days..No mood to write paragraphs.. Connect the dots yourself.. * Kaminey - Movie was good, the ending could have been better..The bong mafia coming with a long gun to the fight scene was really comic..Fahid Kapoor ki acting mast thi..waifey aap log ye movie dekhey kya?? * Books - Finally I read the book Love Story by Erich Segal..Hmmm the story is good but the effect of the classic book has not yet got into me..Meanwhile I am also reading 'The Great Indian Novel' by Shashi Tharoor..I will surely recommend this book..Tharoor has splendidly blended the tales from Mahabharata into the modern Indian history.. *Movies - I watched 'Little Miss
